Talking to a guy you like can be intimidating and even a little scary at first but with practice you’ll be able to approach any and every guy you meet and start up conversation with ease.
First of all, remember to show your self confidence. It may be hard at first when you’re full of nervous energy and worried about just what will come out of your mouth but just fake it. If you truly have the self confidence deep inside it will show despite your nerves.
The next trick to successfully talking to a guy you like is to treat him like a normal person. Sure this sounds silly but it’s true. Women often approach a man she is interested in with fear because she’s put him on a pedestal and is treating him (in her mind) like a ‘god.’
When we subconsciously or even consciously do this it creates a lot of unnecessary stress on women. In a woman’s head she’s imagining that this man could be the one, the man of her dreams who she’s been searching for. She imagines if she doesn’t say the right things and blows it she’ll have lost the love of her life.
Don’t do this! Any man you see or meet has the potential to be great or not so great. This will take time (possibly years) to really know so don’t fool yourself that the first few conversations can make or break your chances.
It’s important when you’re talking to a guy to really keep this in mind. Act as if you are the one who’s evaluating whether or not he makes your cut. And this is what you should be doing too.
Practice makes perfect when learning to talk to a guy. If you have male friends ask them for their input too. Keep the conversation light and try to learn and even get genuinely interested in a few topics men like too.
Are you into sports? This man may or may not be but most men are and love a woman who loves to watch games. You shouldn’t fake this but check it out and see if you get into it.
