The end of a relationship is supposed to be a definite parting of the ways, if both parties are serious about ending it. It’s natural for feelings to linger after it’s over, and a certain air of nostalgia will always be associated with the other person. The first few weeks or so will no doubt be uneventful. The hurt that comes from a break-up naturally causes a person to want to stay as far away from the source of that pain as possible.
