Love has long been considered the most wonderful feeling in the world. There are many forms of love and they all are known to be wonderful. There is the love a mother feels for her child, a husband for a wife, a grandchild for their grandparents and so on. There are as many forms of love as there are words to describe what it feels like to love someone.
If you love someone, you should make sure that they know it. No matter who it is – a friend, lover, parent, child or even a pet – you should make sure that they know you love them. There is nothing wrong with feeling love for a friend; it’s what makes it worthwhile to have friends and what makes them like family. Pets are often like people’s families and they need to know they are loved just as much as the humans around them are.
When you love someone, you should tell them. Tell them that you love them. If you can’t say the words, then give them a card or letter that tells them you love them as a friend, for being your sister or whatever other reason you have for loving them. Physical affection goes a long way to letting someone know that you love them. Hugs, kisses and other gestures of affection such as brushing someone’s hair out of their face, all let people know that they are loved. You can also show you love someone by doing small things for them. Be considerate and get them a cup of coffee rather than making them get up occasionally. Surprise your wife by cleaning the floors or be there for a boyfriend when he has the flu so you can keep him company and help care for him. Small gestures say a lot and they often speak louder than words.
Little gestures are also great to let an unrequited love know that you care for them. Unrequited love is the most difficult, because it’s the most painful. There are times when the solution is to simply let the object of your affection know how you feel. When you can’t do that or aren’t able to, then gestures or letters will let them know that you love them.
